Growing with Love (Week 4)

Let's have a cup of tea and chat because I keep wanting to start this 6 weeks of love with some fun lovin' ideas but God just keeps turning that upside down. I'm gettin' my world rocked with a fresh renewing of my faith. When you've tasted and seen the Greatness of God (Psalm 34:8) there's no denying it, there's no running from it or hiding from it. It's just too good.
I was woken up at 3am every night this week with this strong need to pray and God was just telling me we Grow with Love by being courageous in speaking truth. It's beyond uncomfortable to speak truth but it's speaking up or staying silent and growing numb.

I've tasted and seen the goodness and greatness of God and when opportunities come up to speak truth I have to speak up. That IS loving our friends and family when we speak truth in love. The growth part is speaking up and then speaking. . . in love. That part we don't always do so well. As we grow in our faith and grow in our knowledge of who God is and have a true encounter with the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, we start seeing the truth more and more. When we see the truth, the truth sets us free indeed (John 8:32) and we can't help but share that truth and let that light shine (Matthew 5:15).

We're walking down a path, livin' life day by day, doot doot doo. No big thing.
Then one day it feels like a bus wacks us in the face and we realize we've been mindlessly living our life in a daze. We're caught in this trap of doing what's expected of us and not actually doing what we should be doing. We only have so many hours in a day and can't do it all. We wonder what we've been doing or how our mind could go so numb; kinda like a frog slowly boiling to its doom. We slowly become lukewarm and fade out. God says in Revelation 3:16 that if we are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm He will spit us out. The TRUTH is. . . we need to wake up to the TRUTH.

We can't be set free in the truth until a bus wacks us in the face or we search for truth. Once we find it, we don't want to let those we love fall into that same sad numbness.
If they don't want to listen to truth, all we can do is pray for them but if you could offer a light to someone walking in darkness, would you?
Sip your warm tea and listen to Open Up by: Gungor

May Your love cause us to open up
Cause us to open up our hearts
May Your light cause us to shine so bright
That we bring hope into the dark

Hope for the hopeless, Your love is
Strength in our weakness, Your love is
May we love, as You love
Hope for the hopeless, Your love is
Strength in our weakness, Your love is
May we love, as You love
May we love, as You love
