YoYo's

"For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."
Romans 8:24-25

We dread that word don't we? Patience. But then I read this verse and it just sliced straight through, right to the heart of it. My sights are not set on patiently waiting, trusting God's plan, resting in the joy of His presence, hoping for what's to come. (That one hurts to hear!) Our true hope is eternity with Jesus but for now, we live on this earth and face earthly struggles. We wrestle with that tension of hoping for what's to come but still living in the moment.
I woke up to bummer news and immediately my mind went straight to something is wrong with me, what's wrong, how can I fix this, God why are You doing this to me? God isn't doing anything to ME. So I took a step back, took a breath and I was sweetly reminded that I can still HOPE for what's ahead in the unseen plans of my life and be THANKFUL for what's ahead in the unseen plans of my day. Before we get all nutsy and our thoughts go bonkers about the future, we can rest in Jesus today, right now.

That's when I jumped in the shower, put on some comfy, cute Lularoe leggings (cuz yes it's still that kind of day) and took the boys to get a donut treat. Don't miss the beauty //right now//.. instead go embrace it, celebrate it. God's plan will slowly unfold. It will.
