The Extra Mile

Today's Challenge: Face a small irrational fear
If you've ever played that inflatable game where you attach a rubber band around your waist and run as far as you can to put the marker on the velcro the furthest but then you get snapped back. I had this small ridiculous fear of riding my bike too far with the boys and getting lost and they would get crabby and scream and it was like I literally rode to a certain point and get snapped back. I would turn around and go home. Beyond that point felt too far in my head and my husband thought I was being silly.

So I took today's challenge and went the extra mile. Me and the boys got bundled up, filled my basket with snacks and water and we headed out on a bike adventure.
The city waaaay that way felt so far to me, too far to go by ourselves but here we go breaking through that invisible barrier.

We went all the way around the lake watching the city move to our left as we rode and we discovered a diamond in the ruff park, stopped at my new favorite coffee shop, took in some of the most vibrant Fall colors, and who knew my body could actually get a workout and ride that far (wink wink!). It was all in my head I'm tellin' ya. Girl, you are lovely, you are brave and you can do it.
You can go that extra mile.
What is the "extra mile" you need to take?!? Share with us in the comments.
