 Happy New Year 2013 my beautiful friend.

Ringing in the new year with our little Asher, already mooning the camera, squirreling around and sticking his little tongue out. Oh Lord, what are we getting into. Haha! We are excited and anticipating May!!

If you're joining me now, last year was a bit of a roller coaster for me and some of you can relate, it might've been just that kind of year for you too. And yet somehow I feel this is literally a new year, a new fresh start and I am hopeful of the days ahead, even with all the unknown of the elections behind us, the financial state of our country, our healthcare system, recurring school shootings, all kinds of crazy and questions just looming. I have a hope and  through my blog, my prayer is that you will find that hope too and cling to it through all the confusion of the days ahead. 

Over this last year,  we had many unexpected twists and turns. My plans A, B, C, D, E and F were all shattered as God has been molding me into the woman he wants me to become. When I broke my foot in Aug, it was the lowest,  most confused I'd ever been and out of that season, God blessed us with a baby on the way. God always seems to grow beautiful things out of the mess and confusion, and that is how Beauty Among Thorns keeps being my life motto. God is making me a beauty, He is bringing beauty into my life, He is still creating beauty, He offered a beautiful hope in the midst of confusion when He sent His son to die on the cross; He has provided for us in miraculous ways over the last year, He has been with us when we felt alone, He has used us to bring hope in the darkness, He has never given up on us even when we were so blinded and ungrateful, and all we can do is look ahead toward the future. We serve a good God.

For 2013 I'm here to connect with other women. I'm here for women who have questions about God, I'll share more of what I learn about the Bible, Revelations, and Fasting, for women who want to discover their beauty and identity in Christ, I'll share fun ideas from my life, ideas for women becoming a mom and ideas for accessorizing and decorating on a budget.
